About Lily’s Kitchen
Lily’s Kitchen cat food is considered to be one of the best cat foods in the UK and Europe. The company has headquarters in London.
According to the company web site, Lily’s was started some ten years ago when the owner began making food for her sick dog. She then worked with vets and nutritionists to develop recipes that would become the foods for Lily’s Kitchen.
The company mentions organic ingredients in their section on company values. Some recipes do contain organic ingredients but not all of Lily’s Kitchen cat foods are organic.
Lily’s is a founding member of the B Corp, a group of businesses working to change the world for the better. You can read Lily’s Kitchen’s report here.
Some of the ways Lily’s applies these beliefs to their cat foods includes never using meat meal, cheap fillers, or added sugars. They always label their recipes clearly. Their meals are nutritionally complete. And Lily’s Kitchen always uses proper, freshly prepared meat.
Lily’s Kitchen also says that their foods are nutritionally tailored to a cat’s life stage. Recipes contain offal, which is good for cats. Vegetables are steam-cooked which retains more natural vitamins and minerals.
Lily’s Kitchen was purchased by Nestle-Purina PetCare in 2020 but it continues to operate as a stand-alone business. Nestle-Purina has similar arrangements with several super-premium niche pet food companies in the United States such as Merrick and Castor & Pollux.
Lily’s Kitchen has sales through 6,000 stores in around 30 countries of about 85 million pounds ($105 million).

Positive Reviews
“Lilys have gone above and beyond to help me with 2 lost deliveries. I initially emailed them when the first deliver was lost and they re sent the order at no extra cost to me. This delivery also went astray, I phoned customer services the lady was so helpful and understanding although it appeared the problem was down to Apple Pay adding a rogue address to my account lily re sent the order again at no additional cost. I would 100% recommend lilys they have been amazing.” – by ALISON CLEWS, reviewing Lily’s Kitchen Cat Food on TrustPilot, Jan 7, 2026
“Excellent products and service.
Whilst more expensive than most brands, there is good justification for this. I believe dogs should be fed just as well as us humans. Dogs will undoubtedly suffer if fed low quality food.
The products, quality and variety is brilliant and I will continue to be a loyal customer so long as these high standards are upheld.” – by Mr Richardson, reviewing Lily’s Kitchen Cat Food on TrustPilot, Dec 21, 2025
Negative Reviews
“Ordered the shredded fillets in broth wet food for my cat. She used to devour it (before the recipe change) but now doesn’t. Since they changed the recipe it’s been awful. The chicken looks dry, tough and somewhat looks yellowish. I’ve given her many weeks to try it but no luck. I won’t be purchasing lily’s kitchen anymore.” – by Amanda, reviewing Lily’s Kitchen Cat Food on TrustPilot, January 2, 2026
“I ordered a trial box of Lily’s Kitchen kitten food for my two five-month old kittens. Whilst it looked good – nice sized chunks, plenty of gravy – sadly, neither of my kittens would touch the chicken and fish flavour, and would only eat the chicken flavour first thing in the morning when they were obviously hungry.” – by Hazel, reviewing Lily’s Kitchen Cat Food on TrustPilot, Dec 15, 2025
How Much Does Lily’s Kitchen Cat Food Cost?
A 2 kg bag of Lily’s Kitchen dry chicken cat food for adult cats costs about £23-24.
